We are looking for a well-rounded handyman/skilled worker to join our fast-growing property management company! Please note - we are not looking for contractors. We are seeking full-time employees only.
As one of our building maintenance technicians, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including apartment repairs, turnovers, and minor renovation work.
You should have a basic understanding of California building code and standards, know how to read plans and blueprints, and have skills in the following trades:
- Framing, including interior and exterior wall framing
- Plumbing, including demolition, replacing/installing fixtures/toilets, repiping
- Electrical, including replacing lighting fixtures, outlets, and light switches, ability to replace sub and/or main panels (preferred but not required)
- Drywall, including demolition, new installation, taping/patching, skimcoating
- Painting, including ability to roll, brush, and spray
- Carpentry, including assembling ready-to-install furniture, cabinetry, etc.
- Tile Installing/Setting, including measuring/cutting/placing new tiles, tile repair, and grout work.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable truck/van/SUV
- Own basic tools and equipment for performing routine maintenance
- At least 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or construction
- Experience with AppFolio (preferred or willing to learn) and ability to use a smart phone.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
